Vision

ESHARA envisions a future where immigrants and refugees are fully integrated and represented in mainstream American society, thriving as successful members of their host communities.

Mission

ESHARA's mission is to enrich the lives of New American immigrants and refugees, helping them become self-sufficient by forging strong partnerships with service providers, employers, and nonprofits. We passionately advocate for their rights and facilitate their integration into mainstream society, ensuring access to essential resources such as employment, healthcare, housing, and social support through culturally and linguistically appropriate services. Our collaborative approach empowers New Americans to achieve economic success and take on meaningful community roles.

Group work time

ESHARA officially registered as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 2021. Although, the ESHARA Partners and our collective work has been active since 2017. ESHARA started as a multicultural, cross-agency initiative helping new Americans achieve their full potential and secure living-wage employment. Now as a registered nonprofit, ESHARA is committed to building sustainability and collaboration to support all new Americans holistically.

Our goal is to be a bridge and one-stop solution that brings together ethnic and cultural leaders and nonprofit organizations to help new Americans; particularly in gaining employment and becoming empowered to take on leadership positions. We have three main service lines: Employment/Workforce Development Program, Essential Services and Youth Empowerment Program.

Who We Are

Group image of project partners

The work of ESHARA is of, by, and for new Americans, refugees, and people of color. Through our staff and partners, we emphasize strong, collaborative relationships built through outreach, culturally-focused community events, connecting with employers, and working across systems to build sustainable change. We know the cultures, speak the languages, and have shared lived experience of fleeing our home countries to build a new home.
